Second collection of good practices: education for sustainable development - UNESCO Geneva 2009 - 71 p. ill.

Presents a multitude of educational approaches developed in favour of sustainability. Reveals that Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is for all schools and all learning settings. Shows that it is relatively easy to ensure a holistic and interdiciplinary approach in educating for sustainability. Stresses the essential role of teachers as agents of change and defenders of sustainable development as in many countries, the economic situation is worsening and the position of teachers is becoming increasingly vulnerable and more demanding.
