According to the summary, a number of consultations with governments, conferences and meetings, seminars and symposiums have been held. The Council has also gained membership in special organizations, held annual observances of Namibia Day, assist the train Namibians educationally and socially, and has set up a guide for Namibia. These activities are all in an effort to gain international support for the Namibia cause. The chief obstacle in the way is the linking of independence with the withdrawal of Cuban troops in Angola.
