The recommendations of the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of dangerous goods are being implemented on a worldwide basis. The most dangerous of hazardous wastes are already subject to existing transport regulatory controls. Development of new and different transport controls for hazardous wastes, except for special documentation, may be counter productive to effective control of hazardous waste transport.
