N2  - The fourth meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) of CARICOM was held in Georgetown, Guyana, from 21-22 May 2001. Discussion focused on regional and international diplomatic matters, including the report of the working group on joint commissions and Caribbean - USA relations. The council reviewed follow up actions from the III summit of the Americas and preparations for the ACS summit, CARICOM - Spain summit, and the OAS general assembly. A congratulatory message from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) highlighted CARICOM's growing global recognition and its continued commitment to strengthening external reletion and international cooperation
