The latter which was used as the major research tool covered biological, environmental, life style and health care relationships. Data gave insight into social, as well as physical characteristics of the district affecting health. Refuse disposal was poorly handled, water supply fell short of national goals and objectives. States the necessity of an educational programme on housing standards and on how to improve the unhygenic food handling practices. Recommends government programme to ensure safe pipe water and periodic laboratory examination of water from springs, streams, rivers, dumping sites to prevent indiscriminate dumping, strict supervision of the construction of septic tanks, education programmes for food handlers, urgent considerations for the improvement of housing
