The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States family law and domestic violence reform project developed model family legislation to harmonize legal frameworks across member states. The initiative focused on strengthening the protection of vulnerable individuals particularly women and children, and modernizing outdated laws related to marriage, divorce, custody, maintenance and domestic violence. The model legislation serves as a guide for national reforms, promoting consistency, gender equality and access to justice throughout the Eastern Caribbean legal system.
